Vol State Upsets Gadsden State

Vol State Pioneers got their first victory Tuesday night at home against Gadsden State 86-81.  Gadsden defeated the Pioneers Saturday, November 6, 100-77.  Free throws by Kaden Paul and Kailon Benton-Hamilton (both former players for Murfreesboro Blackman HS) sparked the victory.  Brennon Marsh (former Murfreesboro Siegel HS) scored 10 pts and pulled down 15 rebounds to keep the bigger Gadsden off the offensive.  Peyton West led Vol State with 17 pts, 8 rebs and 8 assists.  Kaden and Kailon scored 15 pts each.  Returning post, Terrance Cross (Blackman HS) scored 14 pts.  Newcomer, Davion Moses (Overton HS) scored 6 pts and gathered 5 rebounds!  Isaiah Perry (Boliver-Central HS) scored 2 pts, 2 rebs and 1 assist.  Antuan Rhodes-Williams (LaVergne HS) scored 4 pts and had 4 assists.
