Bio

An 8-year collegiate softball coaching veteran boasting 320 wins amongst 3 programs, Christian Lynn enters his 3rd season at the helm of the Volunteer State softball program in 2026.

At Vol State
During his tenure at Volunteer State, the Lady Pioneers have become one of the nation’s premier programs. Vol State has reached the Top 15 in the National Polls every year since stepping foot at Vol State in 2020.

Vol State has captured 1 Conference Regular Season Title, 1 Coach of the Year Honor, and numerous Appalachian District Runner-up Titles since his arrival.

Lynn’s Vol State players have earned 7 All-American recognitions, 32 All-TCCAA selections, and 56 All-Academic Awards. In addition, 20 Lady Pioneers have gone on to play Division 1 Softball, and 19 other Lady Pioneers have gone on to play at other competitive Softball levels.

Before Vol State
Lynn brought a wealth of experience to Volunteer State, gained from being a graduate assistant at the University of Tennessee under the guidance of famed softball coaching duo Karen & Ralph Weekly.

During his tenure with the Lady Vols, he helped guide the team to its best start in program history (30-1) and its 4th-longest winning streak in program history (16 games). In addition, Lynn helped lead the Lady Vols to back-to-back Super Regional Appearances.

Lynn helped aid in the development of a SEC Player of the Year, 4 All-Americans, 8 All-SEC athletes, an SEC Freshman of the Year, and 4 All-Freshmen athletes.

Lynn graduated from Volunteer State in 2016 with an associate’s degree in business administration and from the University of Tennessee in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in finance and data analytics.
