Bio

Taylor Mott brings decades of collegiate playing and coaching experience to the sport of volleyball. She was a four-year letterwinner at the University of Mississippi, competing for the Rebels from 1992–96. Mott completed her undergraduate degree in elementary education and later earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, both from Ole Miss.

Mott began her collegiate coaching career at Flagler College, where she served as head coach and built the Saints into a nationally recognized NCAA Division II program. During her tenure, Flagler recorded multiple 20-win seasons, won conference championships, and advanced to the NCAA Division II Final Four. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Mott held administrative leadership roles within the department, including Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator.

She later served as head volleyball coach at Austin Peay State University for 13 seasons, leading the Governors to a conference tournament championship, an NCAA Tournament appearance, and one of the most successful periods in program history. Mott also founded Austin Peay’s beach volleyball program and guided it to two conference championships during her tenure.

Mott, formerly Taylor Fleming, is married to Brian Mott and has two children, daughter Dylan and son Merrick.
